The Crowd Series is an iconic collection of work inspired by my large extended Louisiana family and the celebratory nature of southern gatherings. I grew up surrounded by cousins and friends who came from large families like my own- where family and God were at the root of everything. This series has evolved over the past 10 years with new patterns, papers, and symbols inspired seasonally. Each Crowd is a meditation that takes on an βauraβ and is created with the deep knowing that we are all connected. Rich with symbols and personalized mark making, I continue to push the boundaries of mixed media past the familiar.
